Mom's Oven --- Double V Hamburger Patties (Venison Recipe)

The Trapper got lots of venison meat.  When I think of making a food recipe, it should be different from others.  Being healthy wise and saving wisely is my personal motto.  Anything that we eat should have nutritional value to supply our body needs.  Anyone doesn't like to get sick because it is expensive to get sick, especially if one has no health insurance.  To avoid this, we need to be conscious of what we are eating.   To have a better health, we can simply form an equation and it will look like this -- vegetables + fish + source of carbohydrates + fruits + (meat - free cholesterol) = healthy, balanced diet.

They are *low in calories and  high in Vitamins A, folate, and potassium that can help protect from heart disease and stroke and maintain healthy blood pressure.  Its fiber also helps promote colon health and cancer prevention.   It also contains Vitamin C and lutein which is excellent for the eyes and helps to reduce bruising.

We  enjoy having hamburger sandwich at McDonald, but we can also do our own home-styled venison hamburger with this delicious, juicy, healthy, and nutritious recipe.  This is an easy-to-make ground venison recipe mix with all the fresh vegetables (the Cucurbitaceae family) from our garden. You can store some leftovers of the cooked patties in the freezer. After thawing, you can reheat them in a microwave for  30 seconds and they will still taste delicious, tender, and juicy as they were first made.

1 lb     ground venison meat

1/8 c   golden rgg summer squash, diced small

1/8 c   saffron summer squash, diced small

1/8 c   green zucchini, diced small
1pc     small onion, diced small
1 pc    whole garlic, minced
1 tsp   5th Season Italian Seasoning
½ tsp  ground pepper
½ tsp  Tony Chachere's Original creole seasoning
1 tsp   salt
¼ c     Heinz Tomato Ketchup
1 can   no stick cooking spray

Preparation Time:  approximately 30 - 40 minutes

Cooking Time:  6 minutes (2 minutes for every 4 patties grilled)


1. Before cutting, wash thoroughly all the vegetables with a fruit and vegetable wash and rinse well. Cut and diced small the onions, golden egg, saffron, and zucchini. Measure 1/8 cup of each vegetable.

2. Combine all the ingredients and mix well.  Use a 1/3 cup for making small patties. Flatten each patty before putting in a grill.

3. Spray the electric grill with no stick cooking spray before preheating it. 

(Note: I used a small electric grill.  If you have an outdoor grill, that is fine, too.)

4. Put 4 hamburger patties on the grill.  Cook for 2 minutes only. If there are leftovers, you can freeze and store them in a food saver bag.

Yield:  12
