My Lord says ... Luke 10:38-42

Jesus entered a village where a woman whose name was Martha welcomed Him.  She had a sister named Mary who sat beside the Lord at His feet listening to Him speak.  Martha, burdened with much serving, came to Him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me by myself to do the serving?  Tell her to help me.”  The Lord said to her in reply,  “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things.  There is need of only one thing.  Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.”

I say that I feel there is Martha in me because I worry about many things.  I want all things done ahead of the schedule.  I’m a meticulous person when it comes to doing my project.  I want my things organize, neat, and tidy.  I work hard to do things done for the day, especially while doing my projects.  If the work wasn’t finished, I still worry about that when I’m in bed already until I fall asleep.   If I’m too stress about my project,  I play games in my computer for a while (-.-) Thanks to technology, but lots of people are hooked to playing games whether in their desktop, laptop, cellphone, ipad, etc.  But I don’t want myself to become addicted to that.  It’s just my pastime to clear the clogs off in my mind for a while. I play games only that can enhance my mental skills, like Sudoku, etc., as mental exercise for an aging woman (-.-)

On the other hand,  I say there is Mary in me because I always start my day with a prayer even without eating my breakfast yet I just take a cup of warm water to fill my empty stomach, though I don’t really feel hungry yet.  It’s my way of purifying or cleansing myself physically and spiritually to offer my faithful and sincere heart to Him.   Praying to my Lord, my God is the foremost important part in my life to start my day and end my day. The moment I wake up in the morning,  I just go first to the bathroom and exercise my head, arms, shoulders, and feet for ten minutes to perk me up, while sitting on a potty (-.-) It will take a total of thirty minutes before I go out of the bathroom.  Afterwards, I say my daily rosary prayer for an hour and a half.   Yes, I pray every day for an hour and a half because I pray for a lot of people, not only for my children, family members and relatives, but also for friends and people.  People who became part of my life, like co-workers, managers or supervisors, employers, household helpers, members of the organizations where I was a member before, etc.  This is one of my humble ways of making sacrifice for the forgiveness of my sins.  This is my daily routine and the rest of the day is reserved for the things I need and like to do.

Before going to bed, no matter how late it is in the evening,  I say my  night prayer for an hour.  Thanking my Lord, my God for helping me accomplish the things I did for the day.  Praising Him for helping me cope with the stress of work in a day and all the things I need to be thankful for, as well as, the things that I haven’t received yet, even in the midst of trials and struggles...

" I will sing of your salvation. In you, O Lord, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame. In your justice rescue me and deliver me; incline your ear to me, and save me. Be my rock of refuge, a stronghold to give me safety, for you are rock and my fortress. O my God, rescue me from the hand of the wicked. For you are my hope, O Lord, my trust, O God from my youth. On you I depend my birth; from my mother's womb, you are my strength. My mouth shall declare your justice, day by day your salvation. O God, you have taught me from my youth, and till the present I proclaim your wondrous deeds."

Psalm 71:1-2, 3-4a
